Amy Schumer is Hospitalized for Hyperemesis

Amy Schumer was due to perform her standup in Dallas, Texas on Thursday but instead checked into the hospital. The comedian has experienced extreme nausea in her pregnancy and now has been diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum, an acute morning sickness.

The 37-year-old actress went to her Instagram writing an apology to her fans, “I am in the hospital. I’m fine. Baby’s fine but everyone who says the 2nd trimester is better is not telling the full story. I’ve been even more ill this trimester.”

“I have hyperemesis and it blows,” she continued. “Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bulls–t! Sending so much love to the doctors and nurses taking great care of me and Tati! They are cool as hell!”

The I Feel Pretty Star and her husband Chris Fischer announced last month that they were expecting their first child together. Since announcing their baby news, Schumer has been candid about the ins and outs of pregnancy.

On Tuesday, the comedian stepped out in New York City to attend the inaugural Conversations for Change dinner. Wearing a red fitted dress that showed off her growing bump Schumer captioned a group photo on her social media admitting,  “Thanks to my body for not puking most nights from 7-10!”

The Trainwreck star shared an ultrasound video last week with her social media following. You could hear the funny girl in the background saying,  “It’s moving all around! Oh my God, oh my God, see it has so much energy — that’s why I’m puking every day.”

And leave it to Schumer to let her pregnancy woes be her newest material for making others laugh, even at her own expense. Last month the comedian shared a photo of herself leaning over the toilet. Schumer couldn’t help but compare herself to fellow pregnant lady Meghan Markle. “Markle is in [Fiji] today and #same,” she joked.
