Angelina Jolie: “I’d Love To Work With My Children”

Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie rocked the red carpet with her six children — Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and 9-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — at the premiere of First They Killed My Father at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival on Monday (September 11), in Toronto, Canada.

“Maddox worked hard. It’s up to him,” the proud mama told E! News when asked if he will enter showbiz. “This [film] is very important to him, but I think so.”

The mom-of-six, 42, directed the movie, while Maddox is credited as an executive producer and Pax was the film’s still photographer.

The movie is an adaptation of the Khmer Rouge memoir written by survivor Loung Ung that recounts the 1970s Cambodian genocide from a child’s perspective. The regime killed up to two million Cambodians between 1975-79 through execution, starvation and overwork.

Does she hope to collaborate with her other children on future projects?

“I might dream,” she shared, “if I am to continue to be in this business I’d love to work with my children if they choose to be in this business.”

She added: “My daughter [Shiloh] has gone to refugee camps. Whenever I go on humanitarian trips, they want to go with me. I never force them. I want them to respect people of diversity.”

Recently, the actress-director took all six of her children to the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado to promote First They Killed My Father.

Jolie recently dished on her split from estranged husband, Allied actor Brad Pitt.

“It’s just been the hardest time, and we’re just kind of coming up for air,” she admitted. “We’re all trying to do our best to heal as our family….things got bad…I don’t want to use that word…Things became ‘difficult.’”
