Teen Mom OG Star Kailyn Lowry Hits Back at Criticism for not Vaccinating her Baby

Kailyn Lowry is standing her ground after being slammed for admitting she no longer vaccinates her kids and didn’t vaccinate her youngest child Lux at all.

The 26-year-old mom spoke to Us on Friday, January 25, “I mean, I guess the only thing I can really say and continue to stand for is to parent how it’s best for your child and family. People don’t love everything I do, but I don’t shove my beliefs down anyone else’s throat. I know what’s best for my kids and other parents know what’s best for theirs.”

Lowry spoke openly about her decision to not vaccinate her children after a listener asked her for her opinion on an episode of the podcast “Coffee Convo.”

Lowry said, “I definitely think this is a controversial topic, and I don’t want to lose listeners because of my opinion — but, I did vaccinate Isaac, because to me, I didn’t know any better, and I gave — I let them vaccinate him with whatever they basically said that he needed. And I feel like I was ignorant, and didn’t do research, and didn’t know any better,” The Teen Mom OG star said of her 8-year-old son she shares with ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera.

Lowry went on to talk about her second child, 4-year-old son Lincoln that she shares with ex-husband Javi Marroquin. The reality star began to read and learn more about the pros and cons of vaccinating your child. Lowry spoke to other mothers about vaccinations and watch a multiple “documentaries on Netflix.”

The mom’s youngest child 18-month-old Lux whom she shares with ex Chris Lopez hasn’t been vaccinated at all. “He hasn’t ever really been sick, and for me, I just think the more research that I do, and the more educated I’ve become, I just don’t vaccinate him.”

Now, Karine is showing off her baby bump and the fans love seeing it. She isn’t afraid to bare it all on her Instagram.

It has been reported recently that they are back in Brazil together. Paula and Karine keep going back and forth between her country of Brazil and the United States. It does look like they still haven’t found a way to live together full-time. This has to be hard on the couple. Hopefully, they can figure out a way to fix it before their baby is born. It would be great for the child if both parents can be around. Jon and Rachel are also doing the long-distance relationship and have a child.

As you can see, Karine Staehle has an adorable baby bump already. She is already 25 weeks along. This means she is entering her third trimester and things are looking great for her. Karine is due to have her baby in March of 2019. She has just a few short months left until she will be a mom for the first time.

It was also recently revealed that the cameras were following around Paul and Karine. It looks like they are filming a new season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After. The couple hasn’t admitted that they are filming again yet, but it does look that way. Hopefully, they will share soon. If they are filming, then the cameras should still be around when the baby is born and be able to film the end of her pregnancy.

Paul and Karine aren’t going to be updating much on their social networks right now. Paul shared he couldn’t and made it sound like it might be because they are filming. He later took down the post. The fans really do want to see how Karine looks pregnant and also get news about when their baby is born.

Chrissy Teigen Reveals her son Miles Needs to Wear a Helmet

Chrissy Teigen Reveals her son Miles Needs to Wear a Helmet to Treat His ‘Adorable Misshapen Head’

Chrissy Teigen, 33, revealed via Twitter on Monday that her 6-month-old son Miles Theodore is going to be sporting some new gear. A helmet to treat his ‘adorable misshapen head.’

“Baby miles getting fitted for a little helmet today for his adorable slightly misshapen headso if you see pictures, don’t feel bad for him because he’s just fixing his flat and honestly he’s probably gonna be even cuter with it somehow,” Teigen tweeted.

The condition Plagiocephaly sometimes referred to as “Flat Head Syndrome” occurs when one of the soft skull plates on a child’s head flattens. The condition is not a real threat to a child’s health and is often caused when a child lays on he or she’s back too much or stays in one particular position more than others.

And Teigen is not alone in the helmet club. The condition is more common than you think. A study done in 2013 estimated 46% of babies have a degree of plagiocephaly. Once the child is prescribed the helmet adjustments are made sometimes weekly to keep up with the child’s growth and changing head shape.

Dr. Ian Mutchnick neurosurgeon with Norton Children’s Hospital and Norton Neuroscience Institute recommends, “A helmet before 6 months of age works great, between 6 and 9 months works well and really should not be considered after about 11 to 12 months.” Mutchnick went on to say, “In general, a helmet is worn for two to four months.”

Here are some other recommendations if you have a kiddo at home being treat for plagiocephaly. Implement tummy time if you haven’t already. Doctors urged parents to do tummy time daily, the activity will strengthen your child’s neck muscles.

Another option is to switch things up for your baby. If your child lays in his or her crib looking out one direction move the crib to another area of the nursery. A different view for your child will force your baby to turn his head a different way to look at his new scenery.

Tis the Season to Conceive

We are in full swing for the holiday season. With Thanksgiving under our belt next up is getting out that Christmas tree, sending out those holiday cards, checking off our gift giving list and conceiving. Yup, you heard right, the holiday season is statistically the most popular time to conceive.

Data journalist Matt Stiles compiled stats from the U.S. National Center for Health Statistics and the U.S Social Security Administration from the years 1994 and 2014. What Stiles concluded from his investigation is the most common American birthdays fall on September 9, 19 and 12. He also concluded that 9 out of the 10 most popular birthdays fall in the month of September.

So if mid-September is the most popular time to give birth in the United States and we count backward and do our math right that means the child was conceived during the holiday season. So why is that? More Americans take time off from their jobs and spend it at home with their loved ones between Thanksgiving and Christmas. While it’s notorious for being a bustling time that can be stressful for most a large part of Americans find it to be the perfect time to reconnect with their mate.

On the flip side, the holiday season isn’t a popular time to give birth. According to Stiles research Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day are the least popular days to welcome your newborn. That’s due to the likelihood that  OB-GYN’s aren’t going to schedule a C-section on the major holidays unless medically necessary of course.

Who says the holidays are a stressful time filled with family dynamics, long distance travels and deadlines to meet? So remember to take some time out for your partner and enjoy a cup of eggnog together. Because according to hard fact data, that kiss under the mistletoe really does work.  ‘Tis the season to conceive as it were.
