Exclusive Interview: Dr. Shahin Ghadir Talks About Fertility

This week Celebrity Baby Scoop got the chance to talk to Dr. Shahin Ghadir all about fertility. He has worked with various celebrities including Mercedes “MJ” Javid from Shahs of Sunset. Dr. Ghadir feels like he was lead to work in this field. During his residency, he got the chance to do a fertility rotation. He realized how working in this field could be life-changing and decided to go that way with his career. So many people can’t have children and a fertility doctor is the only way that being a parent can become a reality for them.

When it comes to his clients, Dr. Shanin Ghadir has seen several celebrities, but he has clients of all types. People from around the world come to see him due to recommendations they have received.

Dr. Ghadir explained how there used to be a bit of a stigma around using a fertility doctor. It isn’t like that at all now, though. Instead, it is more accepted and in some areas even considered “hip.” People aren’t afraid to admit that they have seen a fertility doctor to get assistance with getting pregnant.

He explained that there have been a lot of advancements in the field of fertility over the years. One big thing is that they can now do genetic testing on an embryo. There have also been advances where they can find out when the best time is to place the embryo in the uterus. As Dr. Shanin Ghadir explained, this can really increase the chances of a pregnancy happening after fertility treatments.

If you want to get fertility treatments but can’t afford them, Dr. Shanin Ghadir can help you out with it. His office has financial counselors available to help clients figure out how to make it work for them. He is even working on a charity called “Fertility for All.” It is a very new charity, so they have lists of other charities that help people get grants or loans for fertility treatments.

They also offer a lot of information on their website to help people with financial options and to get more information on fertility treatments. Dr. Shanin Ghadir has made it clear that he wants to help his patients to become parents.

Dr. Shahin Ghadir has an Instagram page where you can keep up with the latest updates on what he is doing in the fertility world.

Gabrielle Union: “I Have Had 8 Or 9 Miscarriages”

Being Mary Jane star Gabrielle Union is opening up about her struggles with infertility, failed IVF treatments, and several miscarriages.

“I have had eight or nine miscarriages,” the actress, 44, writes in her new book We’re Going to Need More Wine, according to People. “For three years, my body has been a prisoner of trying to get pregnant—I’ve either been about to go into an IVF cycle, in the middle of an IVF cycle, or coming out of an IVF cycle.”

Union has been married to NBA player Dwyane Wade since 2014 and is stepmom to his three sons — Zaire, 15, and Zion, 10, and Xavier, 3 — from previous relationships.

“I never wanted kids,” she shared. “Then I became a stepmom, and there was no place I’d rather be than with them.”

The Birth of a Nation actress has had to deal with non-stop pregnancy rumors.

“Once a month I look like I’m in my second trimester because I’m bloated,” she shared, referring to the side-effects of her IVF injections. “It leads to the questions and it leads to the rumors and anytime I go into a doctor’s office I feel like I’m a member of SEAL Team Six undercover because I don’t want people to speculate.”

Through it all, she has faced societal pressures and stereotypes.

“For so many women, and not just women in the spotlight, people feel very entitled to know, ‘Do you want kids?’” Union said. “A lot of people, especially people that have fertility issues, just say ‘no’ because that’s a lot easier than being honest about whatever is actually going on. People mean so well, but they have no idea the harm or frustration it can cause.”

John Legend Opens Up About Fertility Struggles

Grammy Award-winning singer John Legend opens up in the new issue of Cosmopolitan about family life with wife, Lip Sync Battle star Chrissy Teigen, and their 16-month-old daughter Luna.

On their struggles with fertility: “Having a baby is a big challenge for a couple, and going through that together strengthens your bond because if you make it through [having a child], you know you can make it through anything. I think it’s especially difficult when you can’t conceive naturally. You want to feel like everything’s working properly and want everything to be perfect, but sometimes it’s not. I wouldn’t say we can’t conceive naturally, but I would say that it’s enough of a challenge where it felt like we needed help. We’re lucky that we’re living in an age where we can conceive in other ways. [IVF] brought us Luna and hopefully it will bring us a few more awesome kids, too.”

On maintaining an open line of communication in their marriage: “There’s no problem with openness in our relationship. You know Chrissy. She doesn’t hold anything back! I’m quite reserved, but being with someone like her inspires me to be open about my emotions. She brings them out of me because she’s so open about hers.”

On Chrissy opening up about her struggle with alcohol: “We’re always honest with each other, so we discuss everything that’s on our minds. When she was thinking about how she wanted to drink less, we talked about it. I just want to support her. I want her to be happy and to live the fullest, most awesome life she can, and I want us to do it together. Whenever she sets her mind to anything, I always tell her, “I want to support you and help you do it.” ”

On being a man who’d rather commit to one woman than be a womanizer: “I don’t want to present myself as the “perfect spouse” and I don’t want to present our relationship as the “perfect relationship” because I don’t think anybody meets that definition. I think it’s too much pressure to put on anyone. However, I don’t mind being known as somebody who’s devoted to their wife. I am devoted to Chrissy. And when I write about [my commitment to her], it’s me being authentic. I think it should be cool to be a good partner, a good spouse, a good father, and/or a good parent. If I’m one of the people who helps make that cooler, I think that’s great.”
