Jessica Alba’s The Honest Company Makes a Very Special Donation on Mother’s Day

Jessica Alba and The Honest Company Donated 1.5 million Diapers in Honor of Mother’s Day.

Baby2Baby is a Los Angeles based nonprofit that helps low-income kids up to the age of 12. The organization provides diapers, clothing and other essentials that no child should go without.

Jessica Alba, the 37-year-old co-founder of The Honest Company, made a statement on behalf of the nonprofit, “At The Honest Company, we’re devoted to empowering people to live happy, healthy lives. A mother should never have to choose between feeding her children and buying diapers. Baby2Baby helps new mothers so they don’t have to make that impossible decision, and we can’t think of a better charitable partner for The Honest Company.”

The Honest Company’s goal is to allocate Baby2Baby with bundles filled with diapers and other hygienic necessities for over 600 families throughout the year. The Honest Company has also pledged to visit the nonprofit’s headquarters monthly to assist with putting together the kits for the families.

This Mother’s Day was also an extra special one for philanthropist since growing her brood to a family of five. This year marks Jessica Alba’s first year as a mother of three. She and husband Cash Warren welcomed their son Hayes in December.

Jessica posted a picture with her daughter’s Honor, 9, Haven, 6, and baby Hayes to pay tribute to all the mother’s out there for the holiday. She went on to write how the title of mother is “the best and hardest and most heartbreaking thing there is.”

She went on to add, “Your world gets turned completely upside down. Everything you thought you knew about what was important is no longer. And all the things you once took for granted- like sleep, and sitting down to eat an actual meal-become the greatest luxuries. Little people change you.”

Happy 3rd Birthday Haven Warren

Jessica Alba and husband Cash treat both their girls to new bikes

Name: Haven Garner Warren

Date of Birth: August 13, 2011

Parents: Jessica Alba & Cash Warren

Siblings: Honor, 6

♥ Haven was born in Los Angeles, Calif.

♥ She weighed 7 lbs & measured 19 inches long at birth

♥ Along with best selling author & former CEO of Healthy Child Healthy World Christopher Gavigan, her mama founded and launched The Honest Company

“She was born on Saturday, weighed 7 lbs and was 19 inches long. Healthy and happy! Big sister Honor couldn’t be more excited about the new addition to our family. Thank you for all of your support during my pregnancy. It means the world to me.” – Jessica announcing the arrival of her second daughter via Facebook.

“As fate would have it, as soon as we were mentally prepared for adding a second child, we were blessed with the most cuddly, smiley, sweet-natured baby girl in the world — Haven. I’m not going to pretend like I wasn’t concerned about bringing another little one into the world. I mean, Honor was our everything! How would it be possible for us to love anyone, in a million years, as much as we love her?!? Frankly, I didn’t think I had the capacity. But literally, overnight, everything changed as little Miss Haven shed her bright light on us and all of our hearts burst open even further.” – Jessica on her sweet baby girl.

“From a parenting point of view, I feel like most of my irrational, overprotective and weary new mom behavior evolved into a more easygoing, laid-back approach with my second child. I’ve never been a true “helicopter mom,” but I’ve definitely stayed awake for endless hours doing research on everything I could do wrong as a parent — from accidentally exposing them to toxic chemicals to buying products that had been recalled by the manufacturers. I really wanted to create the perfect environment for my daughters to excel and grow but with Honor I found that I often made more mistakes trying not to make any mistakes. So with Haven, in a nutshell, I’m more relaxed. I try not to let every cough or bump on the head freak me out because Honor made it through infancy in one piece and I trust Haven will too. This calm attitude has definitely made adjusting to life with two kids easier and more fun. It may feel impossible trying to juggle it all, so don’t hold yourself to the unrealistic standards of being a supermom. No matter how prepared you are, you’re always going to make mistakes — it’s human. I try not to stress about it anymore. I let it go and move on to more important things, like savoring every moment I have with my precious little girls.” – Jessica on motherhood.

Watch a Little Girl’s Dramatic Cover of Frozen Song

03/24/2014 at 11:20 AM EDT

If you’re still waiting for spring to kick in, here’s a video that might have what it takes to melt your cold, cold heart.

And, yes, it’s another example of Disney’s Frozen turning everything it touches warm and fuzzy.

Meet Francesca. She has a splinter in her knee, and her mother is tasked with the honor of removing it. In the meantime, little Francesca decides to sing (or scream?) “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” from the animated hit.

“[It’s] not as bad as she makes it seem,” reads a description of the video (watch above).

It’s a decidedly dramatic take on the bubblegum sing-along tune, but Francesca’s adorable triumph over her injury deserves a standing ovation (and probably an ice pack).

Even Frozen star Kristen Bell was singing along.

“Francesa- I’ll build a snowman with you!!!” she Tweeted. “You did a great job.”
