Kaley Cuoco Gives her Parents a Car for Christmas

Kaley Cuoco surprised her parents with a car for Christmas

Kaley Cuoco knows how to spread some serious holiday cheer!

The Big Bang Theory star surprised her parents with a new Lexus RX350 on Monday, a generous gift they did not expect, judging by their shocked reactions.

Cuoco, 28, and her fiancé, Ryan Sweeting, looked on with smiles as mom and pop Cuoco checked out the deep blue crossover, complete with a giant red bow. (The car costs about $40,000.)

Cuoco and Sweeting have documented their whirlwind romance on Instagram, recently posting pictures from a romantic getaway to the Bahamas.

The pair announced their engagement in September, and Cuoco shared pictures from some pre-wedding festivities in November.

This will be the couple’s first holiday season together but there’s plenty more celebrating to come – they’re set to tie the knot on New Year’s Eve.

Jennifer Aniston Did Not Shave Her Head

12/24/2013 at 05:55 PM EST

Every time Jennifer Aniston does something to her hair, thousands of women rush to their stylist with a pic of the star’s new ‘do, but we don’t think this is going to be the new “Rachel.”

A Photoshopped pic of the former Friends star sporting a shaved head has been doing the rounds on Twitter and Facebook, along with a mocked-up post from the star claiming that she took clippers to her legendary locks because her niece has cancer.

“Once her hair started to fall off, she was depressed and terrified to look in the mirror,” the fake post reads. “She recently asked me why she wasn’t pretty like all the other girls. I didn’t know how to react. So I cut my hair off for her. This Christmas I’ll be her mirror.”

It sounds like something kind-hearted Jen might do, but none of it is true.

Jen, 44, did go shorter in November with a bob, but we’re happy to reveal that the buzz cut pic is a doctored image from the 2006 premiere of Friends with Money.

Based on the true story of Bernstein and baseball pitchers Rinku Singh and Dinesh Patel, Million Dollar Arm refers to the reality show competition Bernstein staged in India to select the cricket players with the most potential to become Major League pitchers.

Bernstein brings the winners back to the U.S. to train and in the process becomes close with his neighbor, Brenda Paauwe, played by Lake Bell.

The film also stars Alan Arkin, Bill Paxton, Suraj Sharma and Aasif Mandvi.

Damien Escobar Honors 16-Year-Old PEOPLE Hero

Kennedy Hubbard and Damien Escobar

Back in September, readers were moved by the story of 16-year-old Kennedy Hubbard and the work she does to help other children with Lymphatic Malformation, a potentially fatal condition which features fluid-filled cysts that distend her face and have threatened her airway ever since she was born.

But when hip-hop violinist Damien Escobar read Hubbard’s story – how the high school junior mentors other children with LM and raises money to help less fortunate sufferers afford treatment and for LM research – the two-time Emmy winner did more than click “Like.”

He picked up the phone and asked, “How can I help?”

What Escobar didn’t know at first was that Hubbard, of Moorestown, N.J., plays the violin herself. The pair teamed up at Hubbard’s Kennedy’s Cause fundraiser on Dec. 6 for a very emotional duet of “Mirrors,” by the her favorite artist, Justin Timberlake.

“It’s tough for us to look in the mirror and accept who we have staring back. I went through it growing up,” Escobar tells PEOPLE. “Kennedy’s so courageous, how she deals with being unique, being different. I just wanted to help. And when she told me the song she wanted to do, I was like, This is perfect!”
