Watch Robert Pattinson’s Girlfriend FKA Twigs Dance & Sing in New Commercial

10/22/2014 AT 10:00 PM EDT

Though the jury is still out on whether the wearable tech is cool or just plain dorky, one thing about Google Glass is clear: the company is trying to appeal to a hipster audience by enlisting singer FKA twigs, who is dating Robert Pattinson, to star in its latest ad.

twigs, 26, whose stage name stands for “Formerly Known As twigs,” (a reference to her skinny frame growing up) is best known in the celebrity circle as the girlfriend of the Hollywood actor, but in the music world, she’s a popular electronic singer-songwriter whose latest album, LP1, was recently nominated for a Mercury Prize – the British version of a Grammy.

In her new Google Glass ad, which she also directed, the former dancer is seen using the glasses to search for inspiration on the web – which she then incorporates into her impressive dance routine. The entire clip is set along to her songs “Video Girl” and “Glass & Patron.”

“Very proud and excited to share #throughglass with you, a piece I created and directed,” she Tweeted on Monday. The video has racked up more than 700,000 YouTube views in just two days.

Tom Colicchio on His Favorite Top Chef Moment

Tom Colicchio Top Chef
David Moir/Bravo

He’s filmed 12 seasons of Top Chef — the most recent one in Boston, which began airing last week. But Tom Colicchio says that his favorite moment happened during the first season.

He was referring to the street-food challenge in San Francisco, when the chefs had to sell their dishes out of carts. “Partly because we were actually able to go on the street because no one knew of the show yet, so we were pretty anonymous … We were in the Mission, and I think it was Sunday morning, and there were a lot of characters out there,” he tells PEOPLE in an exclusive interview.

Of course, eight years later, not only are the cast and crew not able to sneak around, they now welcome “super fans,” as Colicchio calls them, to become part of the show. “I think it’s actually easier that way … We typically set up in a warehouse, we put up four walls and create the kitchen. We actually invited [fans] in for a cocktail party that was a challenge as well. So that was pretty neat,” he says.

Turns out Colicchio is a bit of an expert in the Boston area, as his son attended school in nearby Concord. The chef thinks that the city has “great people watching” and is best observed by just walking around. “I always find that Boston kind of reveals itself if you take time to look at it. It’s not something where you get a guidebook and hit all the sights,” he says. Of course, he does have a few restaurants he recommends, such as Via Matta and Tico (both run by his “good friend” Michael Schlow); Ken Oringer and Jamie Bissonnette’s Coppa, an Italian wine and pizza bar; and Barbara Lynch’s B&G Oysters.

As he reflected back on 2014, Colicchio shared his two favorite (and contrasting!) food experiences. He says he started gardening this year, so one was being able to cook and eat the bounty he grew. (His take on swiss chard, which he tosses with chiles, garlic and onion, sounds especially sublime.) “Swiss chard and beets, too, they taste like dirt, they taste like the earth, there’s just something about it,” he says, adding that during the winter months, “a good roast on a hearty vegetable is as satisfying as any steak I’ve ever had.”

The second was having the chance to eat the 20-course tasting menu at René Redzepi’s Michelin-starred Noma, in Copenhagen. “[Redzepi] is just a wizard. It’s real food and a lot of what you are eating is locally sourced and things that you don’t typically see here. Certain mosses and things like that which really sounds like, ‘who wants to eat moss?’ but it was great. Every dish was something new,” he says.

But even a culinary guru Colicchio has a few food dislikes, such as okra and mountain yams (“It’s the slime factor!”) and insects (though he cops to enjoying the new Exo bars, which are made with cricket flour). So would he eat creepy crawlers for the sake of good television? “I’m not a fan of eating actual whole bugs. If I had to do it I guess I would, but I’d really fight with the producers on that challenge,” he says. Still, as a judge he knows he has to remain impartial. “I’ve been served okra [on the show] and it’s not about me or my preferences, I’m not like, ‘you’re voted off.’ No, I have to eat that okra and judge it.”

With season 12 behind them, Colicchio and the show’s producers must no doubt be planning for Top Chef‘s future, and the chef revealed a few folks who he’d love to see in front of the camera, like actor Wendell Pierce of Treme and The Wire. “He’s a good guy who really loves food, I think he’d be a lot of fun,” he says. Also on his wish list: A certain political power couple who are known for eating well. “Obviously it would be great to get the First Lady on or even the President, but they’re a little busy these days.”

Taylor Swift’s Wacky Top! Nicky Hilton’s Spongebob Sweater! Star Style Not to Miss

10/22/2014 at 04:25 PM ET

Voting on Obsessed or Hot Mess is one of our favorite workday pastimes. And sometimes, we’ll even take it a step further and forward a photo around the office for some immediate snap judgment from the team. Once in a blue moon, though, we see a look so polarizing that we have to bring them to you for evaluation. Today is one of those days for three very different stars.

Taylor Swift‘s Eyelash-and-Shorts Ensemble: Taylor’s been on a worldwide style tour in service of her upcoming album 1989, mostly adhering to her current uniform of adorable crop tops and skirts. But she made a sharp style left in the L.A. airport on Tuesday in a pair of cuffed Everlane shorts worn with knee socks, Oxfords (of course) and a blouse meant to look like it’s blinking … right over her bra. We’re giving high marks for the sleek hair and cute affordable bag, but blinking boobs may be a look we’re not prepared to get behind. What do you think?

Camilla Belle’s See-Through Drop-Waist Dress: Camilla Belle is one of those stars who has made a career out of looking good at events. And normally, she executes her job flawlessly. Which is why we were slightly surprised to see her at the Vogue/CFDA Fashion Fund event wearing this particular Monique Lhuillier creation. The sheer shirtwaist attached to a poofy purple drop-waist skirt, combined with matchy Edie Parker and Jimmy Choo accessories and worn over an iridescent bandeau bra, was all a fashion-forward choice for the star, but was it fierce or a fail?

Nicky Hilton’s Spongebob Turtleneck: When we noticed a SpongeBob SquarePants trend brewing in March, we certainly didn’t expect to still be discussing it in October. But here we are, evaluating Nicky’s bold marigold turtleneck emblazoned with the face of the cartoon sea creature. She wisely kept the rest of her look low-key, but we don’t know if even the cutest Chanel bag can rescue this from going to the Great Pineapple Under the Sea where it belongs.

As of Tuesday night, Dallas nurse Amber Vinson no longer has the Ebola virus in her body, according to a statement from her family.

She is steadily regaining her strength and her spirits are high.

“Amber and our family are ecstatic to receive this latest report on her condition,” said Vinson’s mom, Debra Berry. “We all know that further treatment will be necessary as Amber continues to regain strength, but these latest developments have truly answered prayers and bring our family one step closer to reuniting with her at home.”

Her family and friends were stung by suggestions that Vinson, who volunteered to care for Thomas Eric Duncan – the first patient diagnosed with Ebola in the U.S. – had been reckless in flying to Cleveland over the Columbus Day holiday for a weekend of wedding planning.

Vinson had checked with the CDC before flying, according to NBC News.

“She’s infected for doing something so selfless. We should be applauding her courage,” Vinson’s friend Emilia Sykes tells PEOPLE.

Vinson’s colleague Nina Pham was just four years out of nursing school and knew little about Ebola beyond what she had studied in class and read about in the 1994 bestseller The Hot Zone when patient Duncan was brought to Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital where she worked.

But, with her reputation for compassionate caring, she was tapped to care for Duncan, 42, a Liberian national who had unwittingly brought the virus to the U.S. when he arrived in Dallas on Sept. 20.

“It wasn’t just her job,” Pham’s former classmate at Texas Christian University, Lacey Mabry, tells PEOPLE. “It was her calling to help this person.” Duncan died Oct. 8.

Now, Pham is fighting for her life in a special isolation unit at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, after contracting the virus herself. In news that is sure to cheer her family, the NIH said Oct. 21 that her condition had been upgraded to good from fair.

Meanwhile, Pham’s church, Our Lady of Fatima in Fort Worth, Texas, is planning a fundraiser to help the family. Nina’s mom, Diana, “asks that we continue to pray.”
